At CVC, we’re convinced that true Christian growth happens best in a small group environment called a LifeGroup. These groups allow ongoing opportunities for encouragement and accountability in our walk with Christ. We offer a variety of LifeGroups—men’s groups, women’s groups, mixed groups, and special interest groups—held at various times and locations throughout the week.
GROUP CONNECT | CONTINUES TODAY!
We offer Group Connect three times a year as an “on ramp” for getting into a LifeGroup. Need help finding the right group for you? Stop by our table in the foyer today or contact our LifeGroup Connector, Traci Schimpf at 440.447.0759.
WOMEN’S STUDIES | BEGINNING JANUARY 15
This semester we’ll be studying “Behold your God” by John Snyder. This study is written with the conviction that our fundamental need in Western Christianity is to repent of our unworthy views of God, to return to the biblical descriptions of the true God, and to risk it all in order to live upon Who He is. We’ll meet Wednesdays from 10AM-Noon and 7-9PM. Childcare is available at either time.
MEN’S STUDIES | BEGINNING JANUARY 14
In 2020 the men of CVC will be studying the gospel of John throughout the year. Our journey will be verse by verse discovering the greatness of Jesus Christ. Join us and let’s discover together the glory of Our Savior. We’ll meet Tuesdays 6-7:30AM and Wednesdays 7-9PM. Childcare is available on Wednesday nights.
DIVORCE CARE | BEGINNING JANUARY 29
A friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone. We’ll meet for 13 weeks on Wednesdays from 7-9PM. Childcare is available. Guy and Natalie Sindelar | 330.256.5824 firstname.lastname@example.org
MISSION FIT | BEGINNING JANUARY 15
Faith infused transformations. A great opportunity to stretch and strengthen our bodies before we stretch and strengthen our minds and souls. We’ll meet Wednesday mornings at 9:00AM for a Workout. Bible Study will begin at 9:45AM. We’ll be studying From Garden to Glory by Courtney Doctor. Childcare is available. This 2-session class will take place on Saturday, January 18 and Saturday, February 1 from 9AM–Noon at CVC. Childcare is provided. CVC YOUTH WINTER RETREAT | FEBRUARY 14-16
We live in a world that demands us to act, dress, and talk a certain way. The pressures to fit in are everywhere, especially in middle school and high school. What if we told you that Jesus says something different? What if we said that He tells us to flip the switch, to stand out, to be bold for the sake of the gospel. Join CVCYouth for a weekend at Mission Meadows, February 14-16, in New York as we FLIP THE SWITCH. Sledding, ice skating, rock climbing, indoor pools, making new friends while spending time with the old ones all await you when you sign up for CVCYouth’s winter retreat this year! Sign up online at www.cvcyouthblog.org.
Cuyahoga Valley Church provides encouragement, opportunities, and equipping so that everyone can truly show God’s love by serving others in our everyday lives. We encourage our church body to serve both inside and outside CVC. Check out our serve opportunities at cvconline.org/serve or on the CVC app.
NIGHT TO SHINE | VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
CVC will host Night to Shine on February 7, 2020. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Guests are treated like royalty from the moment they arrive on our campus. Each guest is welcomed by paparazzi who tell them they are beautiful, and valet teams that allow them to enter without worrying about the elements. Once inside, guests meet their buddies and then enjoy dinner, dancing, hair and makeup glam stations, shoe shines, limousine rides, karaoke, and much more. We also provide a Respite Room for parents who are also given the royal treatment. We need many volunteers to make all of this happen! Sign up to volunteer by visiting cvconline.org/nighttoshine or on the CVC app.
On behalf of the CVC Elders and Staff, THANK YOU for your generosity in 2019. We more than surpassed our UNLEASH goal of $2,000,000 and we surpassed our Operating Budget of $3,200,000. We also gave over $45,000 through our Advent Tree!
